From BCom student to full-stack developer.
Six years in, and the appeal hasn't changed: building something that works smoothly, looks good, and still runs cleanly a year later.
I'm Faruk Sardar. a full-stack developer based in Kolkata. I studied BCom, fell into web development somewhere along the way, and never went back, eight years later I build websites and web tools end to end.
My stack is React and Next.js on the front, Node and Express behind it, with TypeScript throughout and Prisma over MongoDB for data. Tailwind for styling, Framer Motion when something needs to move, Git and Vercel for everything else. I'm learning D3.js at the moment, mostly to get better at making data legible.
Most of my work comes from business owners with a site that's slow, dated, or held together by plugins. I rebuild those properly. I'm also open to a full-time role if the team is a good fit.
Away from the screen: video games, films, and a cockatiel who has opinions about deploy days. Currently working on fitness, eating better, and learning guitar, all three with mixed results.
A framework is a choice you should be able to defend, not a default you inherited.
